Bourgogne Week is a unique occasion to taste the latest vintage available on the market and meet with importers, distributors from the local markets, as well as producers and negociants.
This year Bourgogne Week is not just limited to London, but will also take place in Hong Kong. The BIVB is also planning to create a similar week in Tokyo in 2018.

The unlock the secrets theme will be used in the UK during Bourgogne Week and for the following two years of the campaign.
Our aim is to reveal the unusual or overlooked appellations from the region. Bourgogne wines have so many as yet undiscovered secrets, with a host of appellations which deserve better recognition.
During Bourgogne Week, our secret detective Bourgogne Holmes will visit each tasting with the mission of discovering one or two heretofore undiscovered gems. He will post these precious finds on our website as he travels from one tasting to the next.

Later in the year, the unlock the secrets theme will continue for Bourgogne Wines in the UK, woven into a series of activities including the Bourgogne Wines Club, an intimate, fun and interactive tasting club for sommeliers and on-trade professionals hosted by Xavier Rousset MS; a series of out-of-town seminars for independent wine merchants and on-trade professionals; press and blogger outreach; and a press trip to the region.

Christmas is still two-and-a-half weeks away but the organisers of the event which aims to “unlock the secrets” Burgundy are preparing to showcase what the region can offer in 2017.
One of the first dates on the 2017 trade calendar is Bourgogne Week, which launches in the UK on January 9 with trade and consumer tastings pianned accross London.
The release of the new Burgundy vintage will run between 9 and 13 January next year and will be supported by an “intense” social media programme and “dedicated” website.
The grapes harvested in the Bourgogne wine region in 2015 were simply perfect. They were in tip-top health, and at optimal ripeness, a double whammy that will make this year one to remember. The overall quality and exceptional concentration observed from the north of the region to the south suggest this may well go down as a legendary vintage. 3 winegrowers share their feelings about the harvest.
