The unlock the secrets secrets theme will be used in the UK during Bourgogne Week.
Our aim is to reveal unusual or overlooked appellations from the region. Bourgogne wines have so many as yet undiscovered secrets, with a host of appellations which deserve better recognition.
During Bourgogne Week, our secret detective Bourgogne Holmes will visit a selection of the tasting with the mission of discovering one or two heretofore undiscovered gems. Our detective will post these precious finds on our website as he travels from one tasting to the next.
Later in the year, the unlock the secrets theme will continue for Bourgogne Wines in the UK, woven into a series of activities including the Bourgogne Wines Club, an intimate, fun and interactive tasting club for sommeliers and on-trade professionals hosted by Xavier Rousset MS; a series of out-of-town seminars for independent wine merchants and on-trade professionals; press and blogger outreach; and a press trip to the region.
Follow #UnlocktheSecrets and the adventure of the Bourgogne Holmes during Bourgogne Week, and discover some lesser-known Bourgogne wine gems.
The people of the Bourgogne wine region like a story with a happy ending. The wines of the 2016 vintage have granted this wish, exhibiting a quality that was quite unexpected given the difficult start to the year.
